Most people do not collect ancient human bones or barre chords with their pinkies; then again, most people are not Jack White and, yes, he identifies with both of the aforementioned quirks. Tonight at 10 on KACV, Jack White will be performing on —you guessed it, again! — Austin City Limits. If you are unfamiliar with Jack White, then I would like to direct your attention to his career as lead member of The White Stripes (with former wife and drummer, Meg White). If you haven’t heard the faux bass riff in Seven Nation Army, then you’ve been living under a rock for the past ten years.
I’ll just help you out:
In his performance on ACL, White will be performing a mixture of his music with the White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and some of the songs from his solo career. The highlight of the show is his solo debut album Blunderbuss. Again, I’m not a fan of contemporary music but Jack White’s natural inclination to bluesy music is more than satisfactory.
Join me tonight for another viewing of Austin City Limits. I know Christmas vacation has ended and the snow has melted (or has it? I don’t know, I’m back in Canada where there’s LOTS of snow), but that doesn’t mean you should give up on relaxing in the evening with some enjoyable tunes.
